Product Description: Traditional handwoven natural dyed kotpad cotton saree in white and maroon colour combination. white checks body with white border, traditional pallu which has ikat motifs with multiple colour horizontal stripes. Aesthetic designs in soothing colours exhibiting attractive border and pallu with an attached blouse piece are makes it more desirable . This collection encapsulates the tribal heritage of the region in its unaltered form with motifs like crabs, fish, conch, boats, axes, fans and bows.
Work Details: Kotpad saree is a vegetable dyed fabric woven by the tribal weaver of the community of kotpad village in Koraput district, Odisha India. It is prepare out of Aul or madder dye, which is non toxic and hence non-harmful to the skin. Even though it is only a limited colour range, apart from being lightweight and trendy these sarees were said to be safe for the skin as well.
