Sambalpuri sarees are the ethnic and traditional hand-woven saree which are special and unique, because of its time taking work which includes the threads, which are first tie-dyed and later woven into a fabric. This process might take weeks to complete and hence it gives it its characteristic that is hard to ignore. Traditional motifs like shankha (shell), chakra (wheel), phula (flower), all have a deep symbolism & reflect the traditional craftsmanship of the ‘Bandhakala’ which will definitely make the statement. This saree was otherwise known as “Odisha Saree” is weaved mainly in the western part of Odisha like Bargarh, Sonepur, and Sambalpur.
